Introduction to Ado.Net:

Before understand Ado.Net we have to know about that is Ado means what is ado.

Ado:

•    Ado is stand for Active Database Object.
•    It uses to access database.
•   Ado has automatic driver detection technique.
•   Ado has only one  disadvantage that is it is provide only connected environment so efficiency of system may decrease 

Ado.Net: 

• ·         Ado.net is a new database connectivity used by .net Platform.
  ·         It is introduced in 2002.
  ·         It is set of classes connected and disconnected mode of the data access.
  ·         Ado.net support both connected and disconnected mode of the data access.
  ·         Ado.net provides a bridge between the front end controls and the back end.
  ·         When we make data connectivity the we have to need declare namespace at the top. There are mainly two namespace which we use as given bellow:
  
  

System.Data:  It contains the common classes for connecting, fetching data from database. Classes are like as DataTable, DataSet and DataView etc.

System.Data.SqlClient:It contains the common classes for connecting, fetching data from database. Classes are like as sqldatareader, SqlDataAdepter etc.
